Who Am I
Mohammad Karzon is a musician, educator, Eastern and classical percussionist, as well as a frame drum (riqq/daff) specialist. He completed his classical music studies in France on a scholarship from the Abdel Mohsen Qattan Foundation (2009–2014). After earning his master’s degree, he returned to Ramallah, where he teaches at Al-Kamandjati Association and the Edward Said National Conservatory of Music, as well as in UNRWA and private schools. He is an active musician and a key contributor to Palestine’s musical and cultural life. Karzon co-founded several ensembles, including Al-Ins wal-Jam and Upbeat Trio, and is a member of the Palestine Youth Orchestra and the Palestinian National Orchestra. He has participated in numerous local festivals such as Wein a Ramallah, Souq Al-Harajeh, and festivals in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Haifa, and Nazareth, in addition to many international festivals in Dubai, Morocco, Tunisia, Jordan, France, the United States, Italy, Norway, and other European countries.
