Who Am I

The Al-Kamandjati Association was founded in 2002 by internationally recognized violist and buzuq player Ramzi Aburedwan, who grew up in Al-Amari refugee camp in Ramallah after his family was displaced in 1948. Shaped by his experiences during the First Intifada, he established the association to provide Palestinian children with access to music education and to strengthen their cultural identity.

Since its establishment, Al-Kamandjati has developed an international network of support, particularly in France and Italy, organizing cultural events, securing instruments and educational resources, and raising awareness about music education in Palestine. The association also coordinates international teachers, supports advanced music studies, and promotes instrument-making and maintenance through expert exchange programs.

Through global partnerships and artistic collaborations, Al-Kamandjati has grown into a leading platform for cultural exchange, delivering performances, educational initiatives, and international productions that connect Palestinian musicians with the world.
