Taybeh Oktoberfest

The Taybeh Oktoberfest started in 2005 by the Taybeh Brewing Company. Nadim, David, and Maria Khoury, started the Taybeh Oktoberfest after the Second Intifada to try and support the local economy of Taybeh during difficult times. The Taybeh Oktoberfest is more than just a beer festival; it is rather a 2-day event that promotes local artists, producers, and allows the whole village of Taybeh to participate. The Taybeh Octoberfest has been one of the most important venues for the music scene in Palestine. It was the first time bands such as DAM and Synaptik ever played in Palestine. The venue has also allowed international bands from Italy, Belgium, Japan, Brazil, Hungary, Germany, and many others to participate. As a collaboration between the Taybeh Brewing Co. and the Taybeh Municipality, the event inspired the village and the local civic organizations to make this event a success. The event boosted the local economy of Taybeh and placed Taybeh on the international map. The Taybeh Oktoberfest has been called the highlight of Palestine receiving over 16,000 visitors from all over the world every year. The festival aims to promote local Palestinian products and emphasize the Palestinian identity. The event promotes a different face of Palestine, where we encourage visitors from all over Palestine and the world to come to Taybeh and experience the unique village. Part of our event is having activities during the day such as games, diverse performances, various kinds of delicious food, and of course lots of Taybeh Beer. Taybeh Oktoberfest is generally held at the end of September to early October.
