Victor Ghannam is a self taught musician who has performed throughout Europe, theMiddle East, North, Central, and South America on a variety of instruments, mainlythe Oud and Qanoun. He began his musical life at the age of 4 and was soon broughtalong to display his skills at many local events. A veteran of the stage, he has touredwith many of the leading recording artists of the Middle East and is most recognizedfor his dazzling improvisational taqasim which can be romantic passion, technicalbrilliance, creative adventure, and intense emotion. With a variety of performing experience and involvement in projects as diverse as Jazzfusion, Rock and Roll, Flamenco/Belly Dance choreography, among many, hisversatility and ease of crossing musical genres is proven. As a session musician, hewas a featured artist on many episodes of Xena, Warrior Princess, Hercules, LegendaryJourneys, and most recently, the Starz network hit series Spartacus, among the mostsuccessful syndicated programs in television history. Victor is one of the founding members of the National Arab Orchestra who have performed internationally. Victor is currently working on a 3rd CD with acclaimed composer and Flamenco guitarist Jacco Muller of the Netherlands.
